Maple pecans with coffee

A familiar cup is a good place to begin. Brew the coffee you already enjoy, put a few maple pecans on a small plate, and give yourself a moment to taste.

Begin with your usual cup

If you would like a starting point, try a coffee described as nutty, chocolatey or gently caramel-like. A medium roast is one option. Taste the coffee on its own, then take a bite of pecan before your next sip. Notice whether the sweetness, bitterness or texture feels different.

A sip, then a bite

For a softer contrast, try a small latte or a little milk in your usual coffee. Prefer something bolder? An espresso lets you alternate a short sip with a small bite. Decaf belongs here, too.

Our Whole Maple Pecan begins with new-crop Georgia Elliott pecan halves, chosen for their naturally buttery flavor. Vermont organic amber maple syrup forms a delicate shell, with Madagascar vanilla and sea salt to finish.

There is no single pairing to get right. These are starting points for finding what you enjoy. Let the coffee cool to a comfortable temperature, close your eyes for a bite if you like, and see what comes to mind.
