Ways to savour maple pecans

Whole Maple Pecan needs no accompaniment, but a few simple additions can offer it another setting. These are optional serving ideas for the pecans we make, not separate products.

On its own

Arrange a few whole halves on a small plate and enjoy them slowly. The thin, crisp maple shell gives way to the naturally buttery character of Elliott pecans, with vanilla bean and sea salt in the finish.

Beside coffee or tea

After lunch or dinner, offer a small sweet bite alongside coffee: espresso, a latte, decaf or simply the cup you usually make. A familiar tea works just as well. For a little more detail, read our guide to maple pecans with coffee.

Over a simple dessert

Roughly chop a few halves and scatter them over vanilla ice cream just before serving. They add a crisp topping without turning a simple dessert into something elaborate.

With yogurt or oatmeal

At the table, scatter a few chopped halves over plain yogurt or warm oatmeal. It is another straightforward way to add a small sweet, crunchy topping.

For a plate to share

Set out whole halves beside sliced fresh fruit and cheese for a small gathering or a simple cheese board. Whole Maple Pecan contains pecans (tree nuts), so tell guests what is on the plate and check their allergies before serving.

A bag can also be brought along for an afternoon visit or shared after dinner. If you are choosing it for someone else, our guide to a small food gift offers a few details to consider.
